Register a Deployed Node

If you've deployed a Meshtastic node on an elevated structure in Scotland, register it here. All submissions are reviewed before appearing in the public registry.

Submission Requirements

  • Node deployed on an elevated structure (church tower, telecom mast, water tower, or similar)
  • Antenna height at least 5m above ground level
  • Running Meshtastic firmware (any recent version)
  • Landowner permission obtained and documented
  • Location in Scotland (including islands)

Structure & Location

Height above ground level — how high the antenna sits above the base of the structure.
Metres above sea level (optional but useful for mapping).

Your Node

The 8-character hex ID (starts with !) — found under Radio Config → User in the app. This is not the Short Name.

Offer a Structure

Do you own or manage a building with a tower, steeple, rooftop, or other elevated point? If you're open to a conversation about hosting a small Meshtastic node, we'd love to hear from you. There's no obligation — this is just the start of a chat.

What hosting a node involves

  • A device roughly the size of a matchbox, weatherproofed in a small enclosure
  • Solar powered — no electricity cost to you
  • No internet connection required, no data passes through your network
  • Fully removable — no permanent fixings, no marks left behind
  • You're credited as a community infrastructure partner
